I am interested in leasing a 2008 Acura TL w/ navigation. Here in Northern California, Acura is running a special on an '08 TL (no nav) at $2000 down, $359/mo (10,000 miles). However, I think they require credit in the low 700's. My credit is not bad, but it doesn't break 700 (high 680's, according to the big three), and I have no previous car credit (I just graduated from law school and this is will be my first car). However, my income is solid ($160,000). Do you think it would be possible for me to negotiate a 12,000-mile lease on an '08 TL w/ nav based on the special they're running (e.g., use the special as the baseline and just tack on whatever for nav and an extra 2000 miles/yr)? Can I get them to look past my mediocre credit based on my income and the fact that I'm a recent grad?

I would say this would be possible but they may require a co-signer.

We have a lease source that would probably do the deal.

With or without a co-signer?

Probably would need a co-signer. The no previous car credit could be a problem. It just depends on the lease source.
