Hey all, cool forum.

I have an '08 infinti that was rear-ended last year causing extensive damages($15k). Geico is my insurance co and I took the car to one of their shops. After 2months they returned the car to showroom condition. I took the car to an infiniti mechanic and he confirmed they did a great job. I have to return the car in april.

When they repaired the car they needed to replace the door well. In doing that they cut out the VIN sticker and left it attached to a steel plate which I carry in my glove box. Is this going to cause a problem? Also even though the car is flawless, will they give me a hard time when I return it because it has been in an accident, claiming any accident lowers resale value? Thanks.

No, you should not have any issues of returning the vehicle if it was repaired properly.

This is one of the advantages of leasing

There should also be a VIN plate at the base of your windshield on the drivers side.
