Is it possible to apply with a co-applicant who is your father through any of your lenders? I'm a recent college graduate and therefore I've never had an auto loan in my name. I wanted to have my father apply for the loan since he has excellent credit and I would be the co-applicant so it would improve my credit as well. I know you probably dont like to help competition but if none of your lenders offer co-applicants such as this do you have any idea who does for a used car lease?
Thank you very much for your help
Eli

Eli-

Currently our lenders require the co-applicant to be a spouse or "significant other".

Some manufacturer (captive) lenders will accept others as co-applicants. Most of the captives do not offer used car leasing.

You may want to do a finance this time with your father as a co-applicant and the next time around you will be ready for a lease on your own.

Is the co-applicant policy still 'spouse only' or can a parent or sibling be considered?

It depends on the source. Right now, quote "E", allows immediate family members to co-sign.
