I have leased for 12 years and used to it- now for the first time I am twisted and confused.

What ALL things can they charge taxes on?
My dealer told me that in addition to the normal taxes paid when calculating step 3 of a lease, you must also pay taxes on
-aquiation fee, doc fees, etc and auto care
Is this true?
also-- after negotiating my lease, I wanted to pay for a lot of these fees up front,
so I wanted to put 3k down for cap cost reduction,
plus pay up front for auto care program, doc fees, aquistion fees, etc
They ended up saying I had to pay 5k up front,and on my lease papers it said I paid a few thousand for taxes
Then i get an email after 1 month of having my car that "the computer did not charge you for all the taxes on the lease and we need another $500. "
I am now upset and confused-- this has never happened like this before. They even asked me for my credit card # over email to pay for it.
can they do that?

It can depend on the State you live in but generally anything you pay up front outside of the vehicle purchase price should NOT be taxable.
