Tarry,

Is it just me or are money factors from the banks extremely high? looking at a 07-07 E55/E63 and the MF quoted are all in the .004xx-.005xx range. Which seems odd given the financing rates available out there (traditional finance).

I love leasing - which is all I've done exclusively now for years - in and out in 2-3 years. However, these MF are becoming somewhat prohibitive.

Are there any changes on the horizon or new banks you might add to list you are using?

My current lease is offically up in 2 weeks, so I'm kind of scrambling around. The difference now is my vehicle needs have changed (having a kid in june). So the sports cars are out and having to research more family friendly sized cars.. (something completely new.. lol) yet would also like something that has a little bite to it (hence the E55 or E63). Or even a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, etc.

thanks,
damon

Hi Damon!

In the fall of 2008 almost everyone got out of the used car leasing business. We are still in it but yes, the rates are higher currently than they used to be.

There are some rumblings in the industry of some finance sources getting into it but nothing definite as of yet.

Our commercial lease programs are more competitive but they are open-ended leases.

thanks Tarry.

Granted opened leases aren't ideal, but any idea on the "average" money factor? as I tend to run leases through my company anyhow.

thanks,
d

Depending on business credit and cap cost the rate range is currently 5.96% to 7.94% APR.
